I’m an experienced small business operator and former M&A attorney based in Tampa, Florida. Through Balance Capital, I’m looking to acquire one great business I can operate and grow for the long haul - not flip.

 

Unlike private equity, I’m not chasing short-term returns. I’m committed to being a hands-on owner who preserves your company’s legacy, supports your team, and continues serving your customers with integrity.

I’ve spent my career helping small and mid-sized businesses grow - first as a business lawyer, then as a sales executive driving operational improvements and strategic initiatives. I understand what it takes to step into an ownership role and earn the trust of employees, customers, and community members.

I’m a husband, father of two boys, and proud to call Tampa home. My wife and I both grew up in Kentucky, and we believe deeply in the values that small business owners exemplify every day: hard work, integrity, and doing right by your people.​

What I'm Looking For

Longevity

Established businesses with at least 3 years of operating history. Preference goes to those with 10+ years of consistent performance and a reputation for doing things the right way.

Financial Profile

Targeting companies with $500K to $2.0M in earnings (or discretionary cash flow).

People Focused

I'm drawn to businesses with strong teams and a culture of trust, accountability, and care. Whether five employees or fifty, I'll look to support the team that helped build the business and continue their success post-transition.

Industries

Service businesses (no manufacturing / distribution), with a preference for education & training (B2B or B2C), B2B services, home services, and professional services

Location

Fully-remote operations or within 60 miles of Tampa, FL. While Tampa is my home and my preference for local businesses, I’ve spent years leading high-performing remote teams as a sales executive and know what it takes to build culture and accountability from a distance.
